16 OF SCOTLAND’S FRESHEST UNSIGNED ACTS TAKE TO THE T BREAK STAGE FOR T IN THE PARK’S LANDMARK 20TH YEAR

Unsigned acts from across the country submitted their demos to T Break this year in the hope of landing one of 16 highly coveted slots on the T Break Stage at T in the Park, and Tennent’s Lager are now thrilled to announce the acts that made it through.

Tennent’s have been proudly supporting Scotland’s grassroots music scene through T Break for the past 18 years, providing the freshest unsigned talent in the country with the opportunity to showcase their material to fans and music industry insiders alike on the biggest platform for unsigned artists at T in the Park – the T Break Stage.

A judging panel of 14 of Scotland’s most respected and influential music industry experts listened to each and every track before coming together to deliberate their shortlists and ultimately choose the final sixteen acts to join the line-up for T in the Park 2013, alongside the likes of headliners Mumford & Sons, Rihanna and The Killers, plus Stereophonics, Calvin Harris, Kraftwerk, Snoop Dogg, alt-J and Haim.

So, without further ado, the 16 acts who will play the T Break Stage at T in the Park this year are:

George Kyle, Head of Sponsorship at Tennent’s Lager said: “Tennent’s are truly passionate about supporting Scotland’s grassroots music scene, there is a huge amount of unsigned and emerging talent in this country and we believe that, through T Break, we can help nurture and showcase this talent, hopefully helping acts to realise their potential and go on to a successful career in the music industry. The quality of the demos this year was particularly strong and I think fans will be really excited by the acts playing the T Break Stage this year.”

Dave McGeachan from T Break partners DF Concerts sits on the judging panel. He said: “For T Break we try to pull together a line-up that truly represents the diversity of Scotland’s grassroots music scene.  We get submissions from acts of all genres, which is great, as it allows us to keep the T Break line-up fresh year after year and 2013 is certainly no exception.  We have some really strong breakthrough talent playing the stage this year,  I can’t wait to see them all live over the festival weekend.”
