Not quite sure where to start with this one…SW4 pulled out all the stops, what a line up. House music’s finest descended to Clapham Common hoping for a rain free rave up.

First on offer was Oliver Heldens on the main stage, throwing out the heavy beats he has quickly become known for….but the one thing everyone was waiting for had to be Helden’s huge hit Gecko, which he dropped early in the set. Incredible is all that needs to be said for that.

Taking a walk around the site, it was hard not to miss the funfair element of the day. Crazy rides, which of course we stayed away from, but had a great time watching those that did get spun around and came off feeling not as great as they did just before.

Unable to resist the calling of stage 3 where Sasha was hosting the Last Day on Earth arena (which definitely had the best line up for the day)…we got ready for 3 hours of house heaven. First up, the awesome Booka Shade and to top off it they were performing live…simply flawless, and when the classic Body Language came on, never have I seen a crowd react like that…literally brought the house down. This called for a drinks break and a little rest in the fabulous Moroccan inspired tent in the VIP area – luckily we were here when the rain decided to make a show.

Only a temporary glitch in the day, 20mins of rain wasn’t enough to do any damage. back to stage 3, I found a new found love for Seth Troxler…smooth, cool and full of energy. Followed on smoothly by the host himself, Sasha...amazing set, amazing DJ, never fails to deliver – as good as his NYE set? Hell yes!

Finishing off our night, we headed over to the DJ Magazine arena – headlining and making his long awaited first appearance at SW4, Jamie Jones. This was definitely worth the wait, another DJ renowned for his unique blend of techno beats. And of course I can’t forget to mention the décor…a spinning flying saucer, who doesn’t need one of those at a festival?

Highlight of the day…most definitely Booka Shade and their flawless live performance. Overall SW4 offered a line-up that I’m sure we would struggle to see again…bring on 2015.
