OnBlackheath have announced the winners of a nationwide search to find the next big act to play OnBlackheath Festival on Sunday 14 September as Rhys Lewis and The Relics. Harvey Goldsmith, unveiled the winners as the industry’s finest gathered on the rooftop of John Lewis on Oxford Street to watch them perform alongside Sunday’s headline act, Frank Turner.

Harvey Goldsmith said: “I’ve worked and rocked with the best; The Who, The Rolling Stones, Led Zeppelin, Jools Holland and this band have impressed me with their energy, talent, and terrific song writing. They will blow the crowds away on 14 September at OnBlackheath festival ”

Rhys Lewis and The Relics, who can already name Jimmy Page as a fan, are being fought over amongst record labels and music executives to be signed up straight away.

Hundreds of fans were treated to an exclusive acoustic performance from OnBlackheath headliner Frank Turner, who had earlier tweeted his fans during a live Q & A, invited the first 10 to show up to the event and get exclusive front row seats to his incredible acoustic performance.

Other artists already announced for the weekend, include; Massive Attack, Grace Jones, Aloe Blacc, Young Fathers and Hot Chip’s Joe Goddard and many more.

“This is a true London festival committed to a weekend brimming with entertainment. South London needed a premiere annual event and this is the first of its kind, in a fantastic landmark location,” said festival promoter, Harvey Goldsmith.
