Inspired by a blend of 80s new wave and 90’s shoegaze, Paper Boats offer the perfect dream pop number in new single "Holidays" just in time for the Easter break.
The Guildford-based 5-piece's feel-good pop sound offers a warming feeling to drive you into the summer. “Whether it’s early Cyndi Lauper, New Order or Slowdive, we just love using sounds that you don’t really hear much of anymore" explains frontman Grant Williams "I have this fascination with nostalgia.”
“Holidays is all about taking time out to escape. It’s really just a simple pop song that’s a reminder to myself and anyone who cares that it’s alright to be lazy now and again.”
The band will be playing their single release show on Friday April 25th at The Boileroom, Guildford with more dates to be announced.
