Neville Staple shot to fame in the late 70s as vocalist with legendary Ska and 2-tone band The Specials, performing on a string of massive hits including ‘Ghost town’, ‘Gangsters’ and ‘Too Much Too Young’. Staple then went on to further success with Fun Boy Three, who scored a series of chart smashes in the early 80s with their unique ska tinged sound.

Often cited as the ‘Original Rude Boy’, Staple is a true ska icon, and when he brings his latest project, the Neville Staple Band, to Hitchin it is sure to get the Rhythms of the World crowd bouncing.

Head of Performance Donna Mackay said of the 4 headliners: “We are thrilled to welcome to Hitchin a diverse mix of music from around the World and round the corner, and these four fantastic acts are just the start…we have over 125 performers at this year’s festival, so watch this space as more are announced over the coming weeks. 2015 is shaping up to be the biggest and best Rhythms of the World yet, featuring some of the most eclectic and exciting sounds around. We hope everyone is ready for a party!”
