Dave Grohl from Foo Fighters, who'll headline the Sunday night, said: "I'm really excited - I can't wait to come out. I don't really think we've ever played there before so I'm looking forward to it."

Matt Bellamy from Muse, who are headlining the Saturday night, said: "I'm very excited to play. The last time we played Big Weekend, for us it was a disaster, so I can't wait to make up for it on this performance."

The two-day free ticketed festival takes place at Norwich's Earlham Park on Saturday 23 and Sunday 24 May. Taylor Swift, Florence and the Machine and Years & Years have already been confirmed for the line-up.

The line-up for the BBC Introducing Stage will be announced in Huw Stephens' show.

Tickets for the event were released last month, with all 50,000 snapped up in 40 minutes. Those who haven't got a ticket will be able to listen live on Radio 1 and 1Xtra and watch on the Radio 1 website.

Highlights will also be broadcast on BBC Three, with catch-up available on BBC iPlayer.
