"Today we are thrilled to introduce The Mighty Hoop-La, a brand new weekender brought to you by London’s leading pop night, Guilty Pleasures. The new event will take place at Butlins’ premium site by the sea in Bognor Regis, Feb 26th-29th 2016, and will see Guilty Pleasures joining forces with the UK’s primo alternative pop nights currently filling the capital’s biggest venues; Sink the Pink, Rebel Bingo, Ultimate Power, Cat Face, End of the World Party, Fleetmac Wood, Horse Meat Disco, Morning Gloryville, Rebel Rebel, R&She.

This super salacious weekender by the seaside is a celebration of pure pop joy. Flying in especially from California to headline on Saturday night are dazzling US headliners En Vogue. All female 90s r’n’b group En Vogue are best known for their string of brilliant hits including Don’t Let Go (Love), My Lovin’ (Never Gonna Get it), Hold On and Free Your Mind. They also featured on Salt-N-Pepa’s 1994 hit, Whatta Man. The Mighty Hoop-La are more than a bit excited to welcome this fabulous girl group onto our shores.

The Friday night headliner will be US outfit disco house outfit Hercules & Love Affair. The act, best known for sleeper hit 'Blind' featuring Antony Hegarty (2008), are made up of a revolving door of singers and producers, but always with core founder, DJ Andy Butler at the helm. The live show is spectacular; a blaze of colour and an assault on the senses, the perfect Friday night introduction to this brilliant weekender.

The Guilty Pleasures pop phenomenon has been filling London’s KOKO for over ten years and is a regular fixture in the Glastonbury and Latitude fields. Helmed by DJ Sean Rowley, the night was a reaction to ‘boring clubbing’ starting in 2004 with a compilation and statement of intent – to play the tunes you secretly love loud and proud. It’s now a celebration of pop in all its forms. Rebel Bingo (2007) and Ultimate Power (2008) soon followed with a similar ethos. Now all represent a refreshingly fun and upbeat alternative to clubbing nightlife around the UK.

Sink the Pink is East London’s most camp-tastic, glitter filled night made up of DJs, dancers and drag queens. This raucous room will host the Sink The Pink 90s Revue from Baby D, who will sing best known hits such Let Me Be Your Fantasy, I Need Your Lovin’, Corona who will do classics Rhythm of The Night and Baby Baby and Rozalla doing her hits Everybody’s Free and Faith In The Power of Love (amongst others). What a room!

No Butlins festivity would be complete without a pool party. In amongst the flumes and rapids will bepool parties hosted by We Love Pop, playing pop music from 90s to now; Yacht Rock, paying homage to smooth rock hits of the 70s a la Steely Dan, Toto, Hall & Oates; and Too Slow To Disco, Berlin’s famed yacht pop night. If you don’t want to splash about in the pool, why not hit the Cabaret room featuring the LipSinkers and Figs In Wigs plus more TBA. For those who want a laff, there will be plenty of twisted tribute acts to keep you amused such as Joanne Joanne (yep, a female version of Duran Duran) and Old Dirty Brassterds (a 10 piece brass band playing modern pop a la Daft Punk and Mark Ronson). What’s not to love?

Of course, there will be a Karaoke room hosted by a trio of London’s best Karaoke nights – Britain’s original sing-a-long club night Friday I’m In Love; London’s longest running alternative karaoke collective House of Hot Breath and Rave Karaoke – sing-a-long rave classics, we know where we’ll be.

Should you get tired of all the music, head for the quiz where you’ll be able to wow friends with your knowledge of… music. Hosted by Sounds Familiar and Baby One More Time Quiz.

After the parties have finished, get your PJs on and hit the after hours slumber party, where films will be shown on the big screen until dawn. Not just any films, mind, but a John Hughes’ marathon of Ferris Bueller’s Day Off, Weird Science and The Breakfast Club. Plus, Singalong Dirty Dancing will be your chance to pump out ‘She’s like the wind… next to me’ with hundreds of others in a beautiful chorus. Swayze would be proud.

There’s a 50s themed diner that’ll be open for food, a spa with massages and a sauna and of course the bars will be fully stocked.

So come join us and make it an unforgettable first year. You’ll be picking glitter out of your hair for weeks… "
