Lytham Proms Festival have unveiled a host of international classical music and West End stars for the much-anticipated summer party on the coast. They have put together a stellar gathering for the ‘Last Night of the Proms’ evening of the three-day event in August.

Special guests Michael Ball, Lesley Garrett, Rhydian Roberts and Kerry Ellis will take to the festival stage on Sunday, August 3 as the festival celebrates its fifth birthday in full voice. The talented line-up joins the world-famous Hallé Orchestra.

Michael Ball is Britain’s leading stage star with acclaimed performances on the West End and Broadway. The legendary star is also well-known for his TV performances and his best-selling albums and is one of the country’s top entertainers.

Lesley Garrett is Britain’s most popular soprano, regularly appearing in opera and in concert, on television and as a recording artist. She was awarded the CBE for services to music in 2002 and continues to wow audiences. She is at home with both opera and crossover music.

Rhydian Roberts came to the nation’s attention as an X Factor contestant. He was runner up in the competition in 2007. The classically trained baritone’s eponymous debut album went double platinum.

Rhydian has carved out a successful career both as a recording artist and in musical theatre.

Kerry Ellis is an actress and singer who has been called ‘the first lady’ of West End musicals. She originated the role of Meat, in Queen’s We Will Rock You and was the first British Elphaba in the West End smash Wicked.

Her many other leading role credits include Nancy in Oliver! at the London Palladium, Eliza Doolittle in My Fair Lady, Ellen in Miss Saigon and Fantine in Les Miserables.

Music legends of all genres are now signing up to the festival. International singing legend Tom Jones has already announced he’ll be bringing his musical magic to the weekend on the Saturday evening.

More big name performers are set to be announced shortly as the festival programme continues to grow. And it promises to be the strongest line-up yet.
