Next month Liverpool Sound City launches the third instalment of its popular Sound City Training – a programme designed to give people a fast track into the music, creative and digital industries.

Developed in partnership with The City of Liverpool College the course aims to foster the burgeoning talent in the region and help set the entrepreneurs of tomorrow on the path to success.

Open to anyone in the Liverpool City Region Sound City Training is non-age specific, delivering roll on roll off programmes that take place one evening per week for 15 weeks starting on the 12 November. liverpool sound city

Course Leader Gary Cook said: “We are very excited to be entering our third year of Sound City Training and working with a brand new cohort.

“Since inception we have worked with a wide range of people from varied backgrounds and helped them develop tangible business within the music industry. A student from the last course said to me he had learnt more on our course in the last twelve weeks Industry wise than he had ever done on any other funded courses or at college.”

Added Sound City CEO Dave Pichilingi: “Sound City Training is really important to us. We’re not just about nurturing musical talent, we’re actively seeking to help people from the region develop careers and businesses within all facets of the industry.

“The skills, the raw talent and the desire is right here in the city, we just want to impart some of our knowledge and experience and introduce people to some of the most influential leaders in the industry.”

Sound City Training has limited places and operates on a first come first served basis. The application process is now open and can be applied for here.

The courses run from 12 November to 11 February 2015 and will take place in the Central Library Liverpool.
