True to Sound City’s ethos of developing and breaking new talent the second live announcement also features a host of breakthrough artists including Drenge, Mixhell, Royal Blood, The Wytches, Fat White Family, Superfood, San Farmin, Lyla Foy and many more who will play across the city centre between 1-3 May 2014.

Commented Sound City CEO David Pichilingi: “It’s our most exciting line-up to date with some incredible names on both the conference and the live side. We’ve still got a few more killer acts in mind though – watch this space.”

Following last month’s announcement of legends John Cale and Thurston Moore as keynote speakers for the conference the festival has revealed more high profile speakers including Aspect Ratio Music Director Vanessa Jorge and HBO Music Director Natalie Baartz who will be discussing how to place tracks into film and TV trailers including Game of Thrones, Zero Dark Thirty and Django Unchained and how artists can earn up to $100K per track.

Sound City is offering artists the opportunity to its registered delegates to have their music reviewed by Vanessa and Natalie during this exciting panel session.

Additional speakers include record label impresario Alan McGee, PPL Director of Performer Affairs Keith Harris, Farm vocalist Peter Hooton, ATC Management Senior Partner Arwen Hunt, musician & journalist John Robb, author Kevin Sampson and DJ & writer Dave Haslam who will be speaking on issues including the new breed of indie labels, music and brands.

Also on the panel is social media campaigner Jon Morter, best know for his ‘Rage Against the X Factor’ campaign that swept ‘Killing In The Name Of’ by Rage Against the Machine to the coveted Christmas no1 spot in 2009.

The third and final wave of speakers and live acts will be revealed next month.
