Created and produced by the organisers of the Channel Islands biggest music event, Jersey Live, Folklore’s celebration of music and arts is set to take place in its new home of Val De La Mare, St Peter, for a one-day event on Sunday 14th June.

In addition to the Main Stage action, the Agapanthus Stage returns in partnership with Jersey Arts Trust after its popularity in 2012, with an array of comedians, musicians and spoken word artists to be announced soon. A new third area has been added, the Islands Stage, showcasing the best live acts from Jersey and its neighbouring islands, with Kevin Pallot and Pirate Party Brigade so far confirmed, and many more to be announced in due course.

Also on site will be Love Theatre Jersey Kids Capoeira Classes Jersey C.I., Inner Space Jersey, and Stormtrooper Jersey.

Set in the perfect natural amphitheatre of Val De La Mare and against the backdrop of the idyllic St Ouen’s Bay, Folklore offers the perfect location to enjoy a diverse and imaginative array of live music under the setting western sun, in the run up to Summer Solstice. Laid-back, relaxed and intimate.

Co-organiser Warren Holt: “I’m over the moon to be bringing Folklore back to Jersey after a long gap since the first event back in 2012, and I’m really pleased that we’re able to present such a strong line up. There’s a really nice mix of styles with rock, folk, reggae and ska, and a nice blend of local and international artists too. All that, along with our beautiful new setting at Val de la Mare, means that it has all the makings of a great second installment of Folklore. I’m expecting a chilled out vibe, a friendly atmosphere with a great soundtrack to boot!”

Limited early bird tickets go on sale from 9am on Saturday 7th March, priced as the eminently affordable price of £36 for adults (13 years and above) and just £7.50 for children. Further line up announcements will be made in the coming weeks. All prices are subject to booking fee and 5% GST.

Subject to the organisers gaining the Bailiffs permission.
