This morning Jackie D Williams independently reached No. 2 in the iTunes R&B Chart and moved into the Top 75 in the mainstream charts on release of his 'The Paradox' EP.

The new EP titled The Paradox is a sonic progression for Jackie D from Unite With Me, defining his sound and direction as an artist. The first track “Always On My Mind” is a funk/disco fuelled number; reminiscent of Jamiroquai, and was co-penned with Lee Ryan from Blue, detailing the infatuation when falling for someone for the first time.   The track has already received a number of plays on the radio via BBC Introducing, calling Always On My Mind “a tune and a half”.

The second track “Surface Of My Heart” was written with Nick Atkinson (who co-wrote Gabrielle Aplin’s last 3 singles) and explores the loss of trust in a relationship.  The accompanying video (released April 16th) shows a disheveled and beaten up Jackie D literally pouring out his heart to the woman that emotionally scared him in the song.  The EP also includes 2 remixes of Surface Of My Heart and Always On My Mind by OBP and Vespyro.

The EP is available to buy now on iTunes.

The track-listing for the EP is:

1. Always On My Mind

2. Surface Of My Heart

3. Always On My Mind (OBP Remix)

4. Surface Of My Heart (Vespyro Remix)
