The event already takes place in two other sold out venues in Bristol and Manchester and the organisers are fired-up to bringtheir biggest weekend of supercharged Grillstock mayhem yet to the capital. Up to 40,000 smokin’ fans are expected across the weekend enjoying the very best BBQ food, this side of Kansas City.

Festival goers can expect a smouldering hot US style low ‘n’ slow BBQ competition, chilli-pepper and hot-dog eating competitions, over 25 bands and DJ’s playing across 3 music stages.

Grillstock London, in partnership with Waltham Forest Council, is set to be the biggest BBQ festival outside of the US, attracting thousands of meat and music lovers seeking some southern hospitality.

The US style ‘low and slow’ BBQ competition puts the teams through their paces as they show off their culinary skills over the smoky coals and battle it out to be crowned King of the Grill. The competition allows festival goers the chance to interact with the teams, taste the food and experience their passion for authentic barbecue. Increasing the heat, legendary Dr BBQ (aka Ray Lampe) will oversee the judging.

Rockabilly, soul, hip-hop, blues, rock and country will be the soundtrack to the weekend, alongside the Weber BBQ Academy, Brooklyn Brewery’s imported craft beer & New York Dive Bar, bourbon dens and village of BBQ traders –That’s before you discover the huge Grillstock Smokehouse on site, serving up pit-smoked meaty treats and Grillstock’s very own Pale Ale, which was created especially for BBQ.

Jon Finch, Grillstock Co-founder explains:

“Grillstock is about enjoying proper BBQ, beer and great music with your friends. It’s that simple. We’ve been overwhelmed by the phenomenal demand for our southern style hospitality, so we thought it’s about time to bring our fire, smoke and juicy, meaty love to the people of London. “
