Gorillaz set to appear at Roskilde 2018

Eleven more artists added to Denmark's Roskilde Festival 2018 including Gorillaz and David Byrne. Joining previously announced acts including Bruno Mars and Mogwai.

Roskilde is one of the largest music festivals in Europe and the largest in Northern Europe. Created in 1971, the festival is a non-profit organisation for the development and support of music, culture and humanism. The festival takes place from Saturday 30th June – Saturday 7th July at Dyrskuepladsen Darupvej 35 kilometres from Copenhagen.

Gorillaz return to Roskilde Festival and will be performing on the festival’s iconic Orange Stage with a spectacular show full of guest stars. Damon Albarn relationship with Roskilde goes back to 1992 when he first performed their with Blur, he has also appeared wth some f his other projects including projects such as Africa Express and the Orchestra of Syrian Musicians.

Having first played Roskilde Festival in 1979 with Talking Heads, legendary artist David Byrne returns to Roskilde Festival for the first time since 1997. Festival goers can expect him to perform highlights from both his solo career as well as hits from the Talking Heads back catalogue.

Other artists added to the bill include: Stormzy, Fleet Foxes, First Aid Kit, Chelsea Wolfe and Slaves. Also set to appear are Clutch, Kakkmaddafakka, Omni, and Scour.

They’re both exceptionally curious and open-minded, always on the lookout for new things to explore and incorporate in their music. We’re thrilled to have them as part of the same line-up combined with younger acts like Stormzy and First Aid Kit.”
