They are inviting participation from far afield to bring as many new ideas and fresh perspectives to light as possible.e of these innovations is the Vortex – a new Blackout audio-visual space that will replace the second stage of yore, and will provide artists of all disciplines the opportunity to produce a truly immersive experience.

They will also be partnering with Blue Tapes – a boutique cassette label specialising in handmade packaging, alternative process artwork, and curious audio who will present a showcase of national and international artists from their label at Supernormal this year. The first Blue Tapes confirmations are mysterious Italian occultists Father Murphy and Norwegian artist Benjamin Finger, with a Supernormal split release and a Blue Tapes DJ set also in the offing.

There is still plenty more to come – installations and exhibits in the visual arts programme, activities and workshops, performances, DJs, fun times and yet more live music.
