Razorlight, Reverend & The Makers, The Sunshine Underground, The Whip, Hyde & Beast and Wet Nuns amongst acts confirmed to play Crooked Ways.

The hotly anticipated one day music festival Crooked Ways festival has announced Razorlight, Reverend & The Makers, The Sunshine Underground, The Whip and Wet Nuns are amongst the acts to be appearing across the three stages.

Crooked Ways, which is to be held in Pontefract, West Yorkshire on Saturday 26th May has also announced several further artists to appear at the one day event; Skint & Demoralised, The Bishops and All We Know are to appear on the main stage alongside Razorlight, and Reverend & The Makers with The Blood Arm, Hyde & Beast, Chris Helme, Club Smith, Redwire and The Nice Sharp Pencils to perform on The Institution alongside The Sunshine Underground, The Whip, and Wet Nuns.

The line up for the main stage and The Institution is (in alphabetical order); All We Know, Chris Helme, Club Smith, Daniel Sheehy, Feral Brood, Hyde & Beast, Razorlight, Redwire, Reverend & The Makers, Skint & Demoralised, The Bishops, The Blood Arm, The Nice Sharp Pencils, The Sunshine Underground, The Whip, and Wet Nuns.

Full line-up and stage time announcements will be made in late April.

Scott Ward, Crooked Ways Promoter, commented, “We are delighted to have established artists such as Razorlight, Reverend & the Makers and The Sunshine Underground perform at our inaugural event, especially as all three acts will be performing new material. Whilst being able to see up and coming artists such as Wet Nuns, and Club Smith play at Crooked Ways is very exciting.”

There will be a third stage, Crooked Ways Presents, which will host local artists who are making considerable impacts on the local music scene. 

Crooked Ways is an independent music festival, named in homage to an early 20th Century book, The Town of Crooked Ways, which satirises life in Pontefract. The festival will be held in Pontefract Park in the shadow of the town's famous racecourse on Saturday 26th May 2012.
