Communion have announced details of two showcases at this year’s SXSW in Austin, Texas. The line-ups feature some big name new artists, already making hefty strides on both sides of the Atlantic.

SXSW Showcase 2014

On Wednesday 12th March, Communion takeover Blackheart on Rainey Street, featuring performances by LA’s Bad Suns (freshly signed to Communion), Syd Arthur, and concluding with Australia’s hotly-tipped new electro outfit D.D Dumbo.

On Friday 14th March, Communion will return to their regular venue of St  David’s Church (having previously booked early US performances by the likes of Michael Kiwanuka, Daughter, The Staves, and Ben Howard). This year’s line-up features a late slot by Vance Joy, and support from two of the most tipped young singer-songwriters Nick Mulvey and Hozier, and Brit Award/BBC Soundpoll winner, Sam Smith.

Communion’s own Tennis and Bear’s Den are also confirmed to perform.
