BLACK STAR RIDERS, the new band featuring THIN LIZZY members Ricky Warwick, Damon Johnson, Scott Gorham and Marco Mendoza together with drummer Jimmy DeGrasso (Alice Cooper / Megadeth), have announced their first UK headline tour. The tour will support the release of their debut album All Hell Breaks Loose which will be released in the UK through on Nuclear Blast Entertainment on the 27th May 2013.

The band already released their debut single “Bound For Glory”, which is playlisted  on BBC Radio 2.The band have also just released a lyric video to next single “Kingdom Of the Lost”. The unique video features pictures and artwork from very unique sources.

The colour artwork is by renowned Belfast Artist Terry Bradley (www.terrybradley.com). Terry was so blown away by Kingdom Of The Lost when the band played it for him he allowed the use of his art for free (something he has never done before). His paintings go for anywhere from £50 to £100,000 and he counts the likes of Madonna and Bono amongst his current clients.

The black and white shots are from Black Star Riders vocalist Ricky Warwick. Ricky takes on the story, The picture of the two gentlemen in the very dapper 1930 suits at the start of the chorus are my Grandfather and Great Grandfather. The shop in the chorus "McNeily's" was my Great Grandmother's bakery in Belfast. The picture of the young man in the soldier' s uniform is also my Great Grandfather who aged 14 (he lied about his age, you had to be 16 to fight) ran away from Belfast to enlist in the British army, to fight in the First World War. He got as far as Southampton, where he got seriously ill with pleurisy and was hospitalized. When they found out he was only 14 sent him back home to Belfast, he enlisted again in 1918 when he was 17 but by then the war was over. This was a big inspiration for the lyrics for me”.

The band are set to take the UK and Eire by storm on their 2013 tour, playing much of the debut album and some Thin Lizzy classics. Confirmed headline and festival appearances for BLACK STAR RIDERS in 2013 include the below (with more dates to be announced):Tickets here
