Ski Facts
For total beginners or experienced boarders Altitude Comedy Festival offers a huge glacial resort, perfect for spring skiing. Mayrhofen sits at 630m, with a ski lift that takes you up to 1800m in 12 minutes where there’s plenty of deep snow. A great bonus of going to Mayrhofen for Altitude Comedy Festival is that it;s also nice and warm. Spring rays will mean it’s possible to board or ski in a t-shirt, and hang out on the terraces for food and drink in the sunshine. Of course, no resort in the world can ever guarantee perfect snow, but Mayrhofen does a pretty good job, with the Tux Glacier within easy reach (it has snow 365 days a year), and an army of snow cannons. The Altitude Super Ski Pass offers amazing value, allowing access to the entire Zillertal Super Ski Area - the Glacier, the Vans Penken Park, 639 km of piste and 167 lifts and gondolas - a white winter wonderland of epic proportions and endless pleasurable possibilities!

The Zillertal 3000 ski area has every reason to call itself one of the finest skiing and snowboarding areas anywhere in Europe. With 157 km of slopes, 49 lifts and snow guaranteed to 2,500 metres (that's 8,250 feet, in old money), the region numbers among the top ski areas of the Alps. With sunny and treeless summit slopes, broad carving areas and challengingly steep north slopes, fantastic deep snow areas with cornices, humps, powder runs and fun slopes there is something here for everybody from free skiers'n'boarders, to the vertically-challenged nubies (who should make use of Mayrhofens excellent ski schools).
