PWR Events and Historic Royal Palaces have announced their very first comedy night at Hampton Court Palace Festival with Alan Davies and Paul Merton’s Impro Chums.  This double-bill of comedy will take place at Henry VIII’s Tudor Palace on 17th June and tickets go on sale on Tuesday 27th June 2015 at 11 am.

The evening will begin with QI and Jonathan Creek star Alan Davies, with his virtuosic story-telling and whip-smart funny bones this a show not to be missed. This will be followed by Paul Merton, one of the UK’s most popular comedians, together with his highly renowned Impro Chums: Mike McShane, Lee Simpson, Richard Vranch and Suki Webster, who create a brand new show every night, inspired by suggestions from the audience as well as their own finely honed improvisational skills.

Festival Director, Jamie Wells of PWR Events says: “We are very excited to be able to add a comedy night to the Festival, something which hasn’t been offered in previous years. We’re delighted to have Alan Davies and Paul Merton’s Impro Chums confirmed - they are two of the best in the business and the night is sure to be a crowd-pleaser”.

Other acts already confirmed for the Festival, include two nights of singer-songwriter Paloma Faith, Alfie Boe, Jools Holland & his Rhythm & Blues Orchestra; John Wilson & The John Wilson Orchestra and The Royal Philharmonic Concert Orchestra who will return for a glorious evening of Fanfare & Fireworks.

Hampton Court Palace Festival is this year celebrating its 500th birthday.
